TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo is scheduled to visit Lampung this week as part of his plans on developing an integrated industrial area, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Sudirman Said revealed on Monday, November 24, 2014.
“Tomorrow, the president and ministers will discuss the realization of an integrated area, including industrial area, power plant and toll road development,” Sudirman said at his ministry.
Sudirman explained the power plant would be powered by coal supplied by state-owned listed coal miner PT Bukit Asam.
The industrial area development is aimed at optimizing assets and resources of state-owned companies. Sudirman said he would discuss a project with PT Pertamina. According to Sudirman, the industrial area would be built on Pertamina’s 3000-hectare land plot.
